This is a translation for convenience. If the two versions differ, the French version prevails.
In short
- For your loyalty card, we keep only your first name, your last name (optional), your cell number and your visit history.
- We use it to run your card. We never sell your information.
- You receive offers only if you ticked the box, and you can untick it at any time.
- Your data is hosted in Canada (Montréal).
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at bonjour@fidelistro.ca.
1. Who we are
Fidélistro is a loyalty card service for restaurants, operated by Shusui Solutions, a sole proprietorship registered in Québec and based in Montréal. In this policy, "we" means Shusui Solutions.
Fidélistro provides the loyalty card on behalf of participating restaurants. When you join a restaurant's program, that restaurant also has access to the information linked to your card there (see section 5).
2. Person in charge of protecting personal information
Under Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, the person in charge is:
Oussama Azzouni, owner, Shusui Solutions
Email: bonjour@fidelistro.ca
Phone: 438 865-5005
Montréal, Québec
3. Information we collect
Restaurant customers (loyalty card)
- Identity and contact: first name, last name (optional), cell number.
- Card: points, stamps or credit balance, number of visits, total spent, referral code and, if applicable, the person who referred you.
- History: date and amount of each order recorded at the register, rewards and promotions used.
- Consent: whether or not you chose to receive the restaurant's offers.
We do not collect your date of birth, address, email, payment information or the details of what you order. You pay for your order directly at the restaurant.
Restaurant owners and their staff
- Email and password (encrypted) to log in to the restaurant site, and the role (owner or cashier).
- The restaurant's information: name, address, phone, hours, logo, photo, loyalty program.
Visitors to fidelistro.ca
- If you fill out the demo form: name, restaurant, email, phone and message.
- We use no advertising cookies or tracking tools. The site only keeps in your browser what is needed to stay signed in and remember your language.
4. Why we use it
- Create your card and identify you securely (code sent by text message).
- Calculate and show your points, rewards and promotions, and let the restaurant apply them at the register.
- Manage referrals: give the bonus to the person who invited you.
- Send you the restaurant's offers, only if you consented.
- Give the restaurant statistics about its program (number of visits, loyal customers, etc.).
- Answer your requests and keep the service secure (prevent fraud and abuse).
We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent, and we never sell or rent it.
5. Who has access
- The restaurant where you have a card: its staff sees your first name, last name, cell number, balance and history at that restaurant. A restaurant cannot see your history at other restaurants.
- Our service providers, only to run the service and under agreements that protect your information:
| Provider | Role | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and secure sign-in | Canada (Montréal) |
| Twilio | Sends the sign-in code by text message (receives your cell number) | United States |
| Cloudflare | Website hosting and delivery | International (nearest server, including Canada) |
| Web3Forms | Sends the demo form by email | United States |
| Apple | Card in Apple Wallet and balance update notices (only if you add the card to Wallet) | United States |
| Card in Google Wallet and update notices (only if you add the card to Google Wallet) | United States | |
| Resend | Sends service emails (for example, password changes) | United States |
| Zoho Mail | The bonjour@fidelistro.ca mailbox (receiving and sending our exchanges with you) | Canada |
We may also disclose information if required by law (for example, a court order).
6. Information outside Québec
Your card information is hosted in Canada. Some information may be processed outside Québec by the providers listed above, including your cell number when the text message code is sent. Before using these providers, we assessed that they offer adequate protection of your information.
7. How long we keep it
- Loyalty card: as long as your card is active. If you don't use it for 3 years, or if you ask us to delete it, we delete or anonymize your information.
- Demo form: up to 2 years after our last exchange.
- Restaurant accounts: for the length of the subscription, then up to 1 year after it ends, unless the law requires us to keep some records longer (for example, billing).
8. How we protect it
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) everywhere.
- Access rules in the database: each person sees only what concerns them, and each restaurant sees only its own customers.
- One-time code sign-in for customers, and encrypted passwords for restaurant owners.
- Administrator access limited to the person in charge of Fidélistro.
If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the people concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as required by law.
9. Offers and promotions
You receive a restaurant's offers only if you ticked the consent box when creating your card at that restaurant. Your consent applies to that restaurant only: each restaurant asks you separately. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unticking the box on your card or by writing to us. Withdrawing your consent has no effect on your points.
10. Your rights
At any time, you can:
- ask to access the information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask for it to be deleted (this also deletes your card and your points);
- withdraw your consent to offers;
- receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format.
Write to bonjour@fidelistro.ca from any address, including your cell number. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
11. Minors
The loyalty card is for people aged 14 and over. We do not knowingly collect information about children under 14 without the consent of a parent or guardian.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. If an important change affects how your information is used, we will let you know before it applies.
